About Subser
Subser is job-management software for U.S. home-service businesses — contractors, handymen, electricians, plumbers, landscapers, cleaners and similar trades. A business uses it to quote work, schedule and dispatch jobs, share live arrival tracking with its own customers, and invoice and collect payment.
Why we built it
Home-service work runs on estimates that arrive days late, schedules kept in a phone's notes app, and invoices chased by text message. The tools meant to fix that charge per user, so the moment a business hires its third crew member the software becomes one of its larger monthly bills.
We thought the pricing model was backwards. Software should get cheaper per person as a business grows, not more expensive. Subser is one flat price per business, and every plan covers up to 75 team members — add a crew member without watching the bill move.
What we believe
Transparency is a feature. We publish our prices, and we publish our competitors' prices next to them on our pricing page. Pros who quote clearly win more work, and the same is true of the software they buy.
The customer's experience is the pro's reputation. A live arrival link, a booking page that works on a phone, an invoice payable in one tap — the things that make a small operation feel organized are the things we build first.
Small businesses are businesses. A one-person contracting company has customers, invoices, tax obligations and a reputation to protect. It deserves real software, not a stripped-down consumer tier.
What we make
Subser is a web platform used by home-service businesses across the United States for scheduling, dispatch, estimating, invoicing, payments and customer communication. Payments run through Stripe, and each business connects its own account so money settles directly to the business. An iOS app is on the way.
The contractor directory
We also publish a public directory of registered Washington contractors, built from state records rather than reviews. Each business gets a Subser Confidence grade for what we can independently back up, alongside the registration status the state holds for them.
How to read confidence grades and license statuses explains what each one means — including the ones that look active but are not, like a re-licensed registration.
